Brazilian born and UK based for the last 23 years, Renata Fernandes is the art director at Escapade Silverstone & Silverstone circuit.

Her first professional experience in F1 was serving teas and coffees to Ayrton Senna’s crew at Interlagos circuit in Sao Paulo, age 17. With a background in high-end hospitality and a passion towards cars and Motorsports, Renata has spent the last two decades working with private collectors and venues, bringing artists and brands together, developing and sourcing art.

In 2021, during the pandemic, she founded Sleeping with Art, a pioneering yearly event linking artists and automotive brands. 

“To me it was never about simply making spaces visually beautiful with art, it has always been about changing the way people see and interact with art. Automotive art has always been a passion to me, I wanted to create a space where it could be given full focus alongside valuable contemporary art, to change people’s perception of it.”
