Senna | Vince Edmunds Art

£6,000.00

Artist: Vince Edmunds

Dimensions: 61 cm x 61 cm

Weight: 7 kgs

Crafted in the Victorian process of Glue Chipped Glass, invented in the late19th century as a technique for creating fern-like or icy textures on glass, and then gilded with 24 carat gold leaf, this piece truly is a unique artistic creation. Bringing this 125-year-old process into the 21st century for the creation of artistic works is an undoubtedly rare and skilled application of this craft. In addition to the chipping on the rear of the glass, included in each corner of the front face of the piece are four circuits synonymous with Senna’s F1 career, Estoril, Suzuka, Monaco and Donnington. This piece is the first piece in a series of four. Additional pieces will be created with the same process, however as the way in which the glue chip’s the glass, each subsequent piece will still be unique in its chip pattern.

Artist Bio

From an early age, Vincent has been captivated by beauty in its most refined forms — the sculptural lines of classic cars, the exhilaration of Formula 1, the timeless rhythm of music, and the cinematic power of film. These passions combined life’s most memorable experiences and shape the foundation of his artistic vision: to create artwork that embody elegance, precision, and emotional resonance.

His life has been marked by moments of both profound loss and enduring love. The death of his son and father barely a year apart, along with the experience of divorce, gave him a deep awareness of life’s fragility and the fleeting nature of time. In contrast, meeting his second wife brought renewal and joy, affirming the strength of love and resilience. These experiences are not only personal milestones but also the emotional undercurrents that infuse his work, giving each piece a rare depth that collectors value.

Guided by the influence of past masters such as Michael Turner, and Degas, and artists more rooted to popular culture such as Jack Vettriano and Roy Lichtenstein, Vincent creates artworks that celebrate craftsmanship and narrative. Contemporary inspirations such as the work by David A. Smith MBE, further fuel his dedication to detail and precision. His work is never designed to shock or divide; instead, it is conceived to elevate, inspire, and endure. Each painting is a fusion of technical accuracy and artistic beauty, a reflection of both engineering discipline and artistic vision.

Rejecting passing trends and deliberately distancing himself from art that is angry, hyper-real, or abstract for its own sake, Vincent remains committed to creating pieces that embody wonder, beauty, and memory. His works are detailed, unique, vibrant, and meticulously crafted to invite reflection and connection. They are artworks that not only please the eye but stir the heart — timeless pieces that resonate on a personal level.

Today, his work finds its place in the homes and collections of those who value elegance, authenticity, and legacy. With an aesthetic suited to contemporary, modern, and industrial spaces — as well as bespoke environments where craftsmanship and refinement are prized — his creations are more than art objects; they are heirlooms. Each piece becomes a statement of passion and discernment, created for collectors who understand that true art endures across generations.
