Molten
Artist: Zoe Louise
“I chose this name as it the black glossy texture replicates the boiling hot pouring of Molten Tar, the piece is a tactile temptation and evokes the universal, primal urge to touch something that you KNOW you shouldn't, but you do anyway. 'Molten' isn't just art; it's a daring exploration of desire and the human compulsion to engage with the untouchable.”
About the Artist
I am artist based in Buckinghamshire, known for my work with 3D substances such as clays, resins, rhinestones and a variety of other exciting materials. My diverse artistic skill extends into fashion and costume design, where I blend tactile artistry with wearable creations. My pieces are deeply inspired by the emotions and visually stimulating elements I encounter through life - be it the fluidity of water, the intense colours of nature, and the vibrant world of fashion.
My creativity has been with me forever, it's my therapy, my happy place, where I can channel my thoughts and ideas and push my boundaries. However, it was during the recent lockdown that my career truly began to flourish, with time to experiment and self-teach, I delved into sewing and explored new mediums, igniting a creative evolution that has truly changed the world for me. Today, my creations are designed to radiate energy, draw people in, encouraging them to pause, stare, and engage with my work on a tactile level, in the hopes that it sparks an emotion, the same way it does for me.
