Biography

Jason’s extensive career as a farrier has provided him with a deep and practical understanding of working with metal, always with a clear and purposeful intent. This foundation has seamlessly translated into his artistry, allowing him to expertly manipulate materials to bring his sculptural visions to life. Every bronze sculpture crafted by Jason is meticulously handmade, embodying rich emotion and conveying powerful messages that resonate on both personal and universal levels.

As a completely self-taught bronze artist, Jason relies heavily on his intuition throughout the creative process. This intuitive approach allows him to navigate his work fluidly and authentically, without being confined by formal techniques or external expectations. A pivotal influence in Jason’s journey was a transformative friendship that opened his eyes to the true extent of his capabilities. This mentor helped him develop a profound connection with his intuition, teaching him to work harmoniously with horses when shoeing. Instead of fighting resistance, he learned to collaborate with their natural responses, which not only enhanced his craftsmanship but also deepened his understanding of cooperation and patience. This mindset shift empowered Jason to fully embrace his creative instincts and inspired him to share his artistic message with the world.

At the core of Jason’s work is a mission to inspire viewers to broaden their perspectives and confront the barriers holding them back from realizing their full potential. One of his most striking and thought-provoking sculptures, The Brain, visually represents the internal struggle between the left and right hemispheres, the conscious versus the subconscious, logic versus creativity.

Through this piece and others, Jason expresses his belief that true knowledge and understanding come when we attentively engage with life’s lessons and challenges. When you study his sculptures carefully, you witness the universal internal conflicts we all face on the path to achieving inner peace and self-discovery. Jason's art invites you to reflect on these internal dialogues and encourages a deeper connection with your own journey towards fulfillment.
